Superiority


triphenylphosphine is a common organophosphorus compound with the formula P(C6H5)3 - often abbreviated to PPh3 or Ph3P. It is widely used in the synthesis of organic and organometallic compounds. PPh3 exists as relatively air stable, colorless crystals at room temperature. It dissolves in non-polar organic solvents such as benzene and diethyl ether.

 

APPLICATIONS
It is used in the transesterification process to synthesize the organic phosphorus intermediate trimethyl phosphite, which can be used to obtain a series of organophosphorus insecticides such as dichlorvos, monocrotophos and phosphonium. In addition, it can be used as synthetic rubber and resin. Stabilizer, an antioxidant for polyvinyl chloride, used as a raw material for the synthesis of alkyd resins and polyester resins.
It is used as a raw material for organic synthesis, polymerization initiator, antibiotic drug clindamycin, and standard sample for determination of phosphorus by organic microanalysis.
